Compensation

Our main source of compensation is in the form of an asset-based advisory fee charged through LPL Financial.

We believe that the advisory relationship works better if our compensation is asset-based instead of commission-based. This approach helps reduce conflicts of interest and more closely aligns our client's goals with our advisor's. If our client's assets grow, our income grows; the reverse also holds true. We have an incentive to treat the assets as if they were our own.

In the case of insurance products, advisors are paid by commission from the insurance company. When available, our advisors take a "level" commission; this means we are paid on an on-going basis to provide service for the life of the product rather than receive a large commission up-front.


Strategic Portfolios

The advisory fee for strategic portfolios that we construct are as follows:

$250k - $499k: 0.80%
$500k - $999: 0.75%
$1M - $2.9M: 0.70%
$3M - $4.9M: 0.55%
$5M - $9.9M: 0.40%
$10M+: Negotiable


Tactical Portfolios

The advisory fee for tactical asset management will vary depending upon the total amount of assets involved, the number of and types of investment strategies used, and type of account (e.g., IRA, Taxable, Trust, etc.). During our initial meeting we will review the types of investment strategies in detail and the fees for such.


Guided Wealth Portfolios

There may be other nominal costs involved depending upon the type of account and needs of the client (e.g., non-sufficient funds fee, Roth IRA Conversion fee, etc.). See full list of items here.
